Sonic the hedgehog has been out since before i could remember. In 200_, a new character was introduced to the franchise as Sonic was returing for a sequel to the dreamcast. His name is Shadow. He is Sonic's alter ego and the newest villian since Eggman. He is the "lone wolf" of his pack. He had his own solo game which was released not too long ago.
The Thing is....
How come he is the only one in the Sonic series that used a gun? He was imprisoned in a base until Dr. Eggman broke him out. He only fights cops and good guys. He is just as fast as Sonic but, he is given a motorcycle. If it's a children's game, why does Shadow have uzis & rocket launchers? Sonic has never touch a gun throughout the series and is appealing to everyone. Who are they trying to appeal to?

Well here's my explanation of the bike...its the stereotypical vehicle of a villian or "lone wolf" as Bizzy put it. in this case, Shadow is both. If you were to look at movies with motorcycles, it's usually the harley-looking bikers that are portrayed as villians (as in Torque and Biker Boys). Also, the "lone wolf" image also contains this type of motorcycle (as seen with Wolverine from the Xmen). The gun use on the other hand shouldn't come as a suprise to anyone. Gun use is found everywhere from the streets to TV and movies to videogames. Even in PG rated movies guns or "handheld projectile launching objects" are seen. There is even a handgun version of a Wii controler. Also in arcades we have all played House of the Dead, Time Crisis or some other shooting game and have most likely found little kids running around. This image isn't new nor shocking in my personal opinion.
